2007 Annual Prussian Fashion Show

Ah, summer and we're melting inside our plastic bodies. It's time to sip cocktails in the pool, sniff burnt sausages from the next door neighbour's barbeque and dance the night away to sinfully bad, old favourites.

And of course, time for our dear owner to get sick and organise other fashion show with Porcia. Shed the winter clothes and let's go!

This year's event was held near the drawers and sponsored again by Diet Coke, and newbies, Cosmopolitan Magazine, and rei_ant's current favourite perfume, DKNY BE DELICIOUS (because it smells so damn delicious!).

This year's show was bedazzled once again by our favourite, Blance Cartosee. It is not so much of a surprise to see Belinda was missing from the parade and the revels, though she was hanging around in a forlorn state near the door.

When one starts to wear mismatched clothing, perhaps it is time to go home to Mummy...

The real scandal was on the appearance of new models on the Prussian catwalk - Amarie Tarquinas, Bailey Barbacious & Summer Caliisfine. Beautiful girls who don't like to share and who may come between the Prussian sisters. Totally will give you guys the scoops after the show report!

Set 1 - A Casual Night Out
Designed for small gathering when all you want is just a touch of glitter and shine without looking overdressed. A lot of slinky materials in this batch, obviously designed for our current season, yet teamed with jackets and stocking can also make for more long-term outfits.

"SilverInspired"

Blanche is able to make anything look beautiful, but this is not really something Porcia usaully puts her in. A silver spotted, layered over white muslin, blue tank top paired with a favourite design at the moment, three-quarter capris in a maroon and cute silver flats. Blanche puts on a stunning smile, but she looks less composed then she usaully presents herself.

"CandyWishes"

Next up is a reheaded Californian girl - Summer Caliisfine. Wearing a shirt in "hot" colours such as pink, yellow and lime in a stained-glassed pattern with a pair of balloon pants with "candy" lining and a mad bunch of accentuating acessories - a black "candy" lined belt to pull in the top, hot pink socks in velvet boots and a shiny purple bag. She has beautiful hair, but there's something about Summer's face that screams "BOTOX!".

"LimeThoughts"

I must say, Amarie Tarquinas is some beauty. Tall, dark, with provactive eyes - it's no wonder she's a model. Bold colours look awesome on her and here she's been dresed in a lime green babydoll, half-denim pants (with a cute little roll below the knees!), lime green heels over short black socks and my favourite, the standout aqua bag. Style Queen much?

"PurpleFanatasies"

The last of the new models - Bailey Barbacious. She seems to have more of a unique, underground style going, despite being blonde and blue eyed, she's done heavily in blacks. Not something that everyone can pull off. Bailey wear a mini with ultra flounce (there must be at least four layers to that skirt!) with a matching crop jacket, all done in very light lilac purple pinstripe and matching buttons. She wears a very fitting, laced tank top, similer in the stained glass pattern to Summer's previous top, but with shards of lilac, cream and sunny yellow. Bailey is said to have an affinty with gold "bling" and fishnet stocking - both of which she shows of here, with rectangle gold earrings, a gold-chained leopard skin bag and gold accentuated leather boots (seriously, those boots are hot!).

Set 2 - Everyone's A Celebrity
"...I want to demonstrate the varity of different looks one item can have. I want to demonstrate creativity, and I want people to really love the clothes..." - Porcia.

This run is about looking fabulous and sees a return of many of the items from the last set. More day-to-day wear, but just that hint of glamour and sparkles.

"Party Heiress"

Boy, does Bailey fit this outfit's title - doesn't she look like Paris Hilton?:

Blue "candy-lined" two-quarter denim pants, newspaper boy hat, silk pink tie-top, Bailey's fishnets and matching pink heels. Very casual, but fancy enough to wear just about anywhere (except maybe somewhere respectable, like a wedding).

"Just Outta Rehab"

A return of the pink shirt (now flowing without the belt) and the balloon pants, but now with a matching "candy" lined fitted jacket (also kinda balloony). Cute-as pink lined (more candy?) heels over pink high socks, silver chain chandelier earrings, black velvet headband, rose tinted sunnies and, rose-net stocking peeking out from the balloon pants!

"Independant Films"

Amarie's dark hair really sets this off. The lime babydoll has been taken in with the "candy" lined belt, paired with some silky three-quarter leggings, a cropped jacket to keep her warm, and eye-catching white ankle boots.

"Rough Rider"

Our Blanche shows off the bikee wihin her - male-fitted biker jacket with high-shine silver zips, black capris, Forucci inspired white tank and cute little white kittens to feminise the outfit.

Set 3 - Shopping Is A Sport
Outfits for shopping, playing sport and general wear. Lots of bright colours and more common materials, making the set excellent for daily wear.

"A Little Bit Of This"

This outfit is interesting. There's a bit of tweed, there's stripes, there's plain, there's a menagrie of colours...might look better with heels instead of sneakers.

"Baby Workout"

Bailey works it in the hot pink. A velvet fitted jacket with a belt of sparkles, suede blue mini with a rainbow belt (featuring hot pink stripes), a vinyl blue bag with pink and brown accents and gorgeous hot pink vintage heels.

"Fair Play"

In a slinky, pleated tennis dress in a "golf" patterns of red, blue, yellow and green, Amarie is ready to play. A matching blue tennis racket and hot pink sneakers and I'd say she's glamourous no matter where she is.

"risebeneath"

A "golf" print symbol on a blue shirt with pink lining, Summer could be upto anything. A blue denim mini with a glitter-shard belt, a hot pink purse and the combination of heels/rosenet stocking/pink high socks makes me insanely jealous. I think this is my second favourite outfit on Summer, it's really subtle with clashing with her hairand just a teensy bit trashy.

Surprise, surprise, Blanche has been left out of this shot. Pink shoes seem to be the most seen item in this set.

Set 4 - Top Half
A primary focus on tops, vests, jackets and ponchos. Fake fur, string, lace and silver accents. More autumn-y gear I think.

"Pink Frills"

Finally, an outfit that becomes Blanche! A little white lacy skirt with pink underlay and yellow belt ribbon, vinyl pink boots, skinny cotton white polo with short sleeves and pink lining, and a cute little hot pink vest. The cutest thing is the little yellow flower on the right of the vest. Blanche looks the happiest she's looked throughout the whole show.

"Glam Fruit (Amarie)/ Hippie Shine (Bailey)"

Glam Fruit...I don't really know what's going on here. Amarie is in just a purple vest with silver lining, shiny purple bag and the most hideous purple loafers. I don't know what Porcia was thinking.
Hippie Shine is much better despite the unfortunate name. A hand-tied rope poncho over a silver tie-top, brown flares and brown/silver platforms. Very nice on Bailey. Well, better then Glam Fruit...

Set 5 - Sparkle!
A set of evening party dresses, mostly already displayed by the always-in-style, Sonya Bestuntry, Porcia's assistant and secretary. How much would it rock to be her?

"Pink Satire (Amarie) / Ironic Pink (Blanche) / Pink Wit(Summer)"

(Could Summer block out Blanche any more?)

Nothing we haven't seen before. Lots of little bows, lots of fine french lace covering lots of girly coloured pink undresses. "Pink Wit" is also paried with some (we assume) lace tights, and what seems to be becoming Summer's favourite items, pink socks under back heels.

"Pink Satire"

Supposedly Sonya's favourite and a stunner on Amarie's dark features, really bringing the spagetti-strapped dress's baby pink out. A tinted silver underdress and a pink, flimy little alpaca cadirgan over the shoulders. I believe those are freshwater pearls she's wearing around her neck, there are meant to be some worked into the white heels too. Very ornate.

Amarie has so much attitude!

"Ironic Pink"

I don't get what's ironic, and I really dislike the cape. Capes are generally a bad idea Porcia. Lace underskirting to match the cape and the bodice. I would like this a lot better without that cape!

"Purple Finale"

Shimmer much? Bailey looks stunning in this deep purple and silver threaded, spagetti stapper. I think Porcia has a thing for spagetti traps this year...

Very sexy with fishnet stockings, purple heels and Bailey's own large, square earrings.

Set 6 - Love Dreams
Despite many suggestions that sleepware would be modeled by the famous three, most of us were overjoyed when our resident sleep andlingerie model, Brietta Manera, stepped out.

"Scented"

There is nothing more luxerious to sleep in then silk. Porcia, a woman after our hearts has created this silk little number - a cupped single top, lined with white lace, two-quater pants in a lilac shade with little printed flowers and lined with the same colour to match said singlet top. A fluffy kitty pillow, pink bunny slippers and a matching eyecover...I could relax in that!

"Crushing"

Brietta smiles coyly from her long, cotton, stripe-print winter pants and sexy red singlet shirt. Little hearts adorn the lace, very cute. More bunny slippers and eyemasks. I think you could pretty much wear this all year around...well, the pants anyway. They look comfy.

Set 7 - 2007 Costume Party
"...there's a fun, childish part of everyone that finds dressing up the greatest thrill of their lives. Designing a costume line is like relieving all your childhood dreams and aspirations..." - Porcia.

"Geisha (Blanche) / Belle (Amarie) / Regina (Bailey)"

This set's materials are pretty self-explantory. Blanche has lost her arms in that thing, tied with a woollen scarf. Definatly the worst of all her outfits this show - she may look cheerful but we know what she's really thinking - "Must fly away immediantly!". She's also wearing brown platforms edged in blue. Hmmm.

"Belle"

What's a Bedroom fashion show without a ballerina outfit? Amarie again looks stunning against the pure white, very girly, very flirty. I think the pearled white heels are having another appearence.

"Regina"

I'm told this is the outfit orginally intended for Blanche (which would make more sense), before The Three got involved. It's obviously intended for Blanche's figure and fresh, girlish looks, Bailey is too dark to pull it off and her attitude/posture makes her look pregnant.

The design is very intricate, inspired by Royalty of the past. There's a golden, jewelled headdress, with a matching belted empire waist and arm cuffs. Whilst maily velvet, I think Porcia's used a very light type, making it easy to walk in. Or maybe Bailey can make anything look easy.

Set 8 - 2007 Evening Gown
This is almost as traditional as a ballerina tutu. The epic finale. Perhaps, a showdown between sisters...

"Evergreen (Summer) / Forest Fire (Bailey) / New Spring (Amarie)"

Very similer cuts, reworked, giving images of...plants (?) with their use of flower and leaf motifs. Summer and Amarie have the exact same, empire waist cut, in greens. Summer has a very pretty "minty" colour with printed vines and flowers. The centerpeice is a large silver flower and a large oval-tangle of Chinese jade. White, belled sleeved gloves and a matching print, bag, it's handle beaded in jade. One regrets she's still wearing those pink socks.

Amarie is wearing a green silk, decorated in blue flowers. It too has a centerpiece at the chest, a silver flower (again) and a large emerald heart. The matching bag repeats the previous bags pattern, subbing in emerald beads for jade. She also wears little, green elf flats, very cute, probably very comfortable.

"Forest Fire"

Bailey has every right to be a furious red - she'd been promised the show's centerpiece and Porcia's pride and joy, the 'Sky Angel' gown, but if Porcia could make one thing go according to plan, it was going to have Blanche in that dress. Instead Bailey wears a black number, printed with Asian langauge symbols and highlighted with a large ruby flower. To really set it off, she also has a flaming red boa and a matching bag. The dress is slim and so short you can just see a snippet of Bailey's fishnets...and boots.

"Sky Angel"

Beautiful Blanche as she should be. A seemingly-heavy gown of organza and silk with tulle underlay, Blanche manages to glide Angel like down the catwalk (take that, Bailey!). A corset bodice encrusted with pearls, topaz and small diamonds, in a swirly pattern. A startched matching shawl and a white feather boa complete the look and the show.

Ah, the time of the week when rei_ant has any will to clean her room. Thank goodness - the killer hurricane, Baby Grande has been stumbling around creating chaos. No one is safe from the total destruction while rei_ant is at school!

Lost Snoopy, Feared Unbalenced, Dusty And Alone
Due to the new computer shelf adjustment that occured around 1pm yesterday, Hiker Snoopy has fallen off and is probably behind the desk. A search party will be sent early tomorrow morning to recover him, alone with a medical team. Anyone with information is advised to comment.

Warning New Girl Here Soon, Ophelia not pleased!
Nomado was sent out yesterday from Sydney and should approximently be here within the next few days. Ophelia Purezza is to be avoided as she welds sharp objects, and shoes. Reports say she is upset over having to share her rocking chair.

New Website Opened!
Eyes That Sparkle was released online less then a minute ago. Will feature everything I can't be bothered to cover, picfics, profiles, photoshoots and whatever else goes on in rei_ant's mind about her dolls late at night when she's typing away.

Monday Morning at the Office...

How can I give everyone an update if rei_ant is always hogging the computer? She's been so bogged down with homework, I haven't had a spare minute to update my own work. Thank goodness time means nothing to a doll, if I had been human and not done any work for five weeks, Porcia would have fired me long ago!

Busy catching up with work
The biggest news around, is rei_ant's infatuation with the new girl, a Brand New Purezza Pullip named Ophelia. She takes her everywhere, is always re-dressing her and buying her stuff - you should checkout her new furniture! Us poor Barbies have been so neglected. Everytime we try to talk to the girl, she pretends we're not there!

Ophelia Purezza (a.k.a Brand New Purezza)
Expressive, more anatomically correct and very photogenic, she gets to toddle around and be played with all the time. Studying Art History via an online course to the Academie in France, she always seems busy looking at pretty things. We're not quite sure whether or not she actually is French, but she knows their ways, has a similer style and randomly breaks off into French speech. More then a bit spoilt and bratty, but very loving towards rei_ant. You have to friend rei_ant to see them, but photos of her arrival and some random picfics are located here, here, and here.

The room is pretty close to being full and our dear lanlord has been over compulsive buying (not to mention broke) for awhile now, so Ophelia was meant to be the "last" doll for this year. Except, she's been dying for a Silkstone Barbie, so she's been watching those and now there's another Pullip coming! That girl has no self control.

Last weekend she attended a trash'n'treasure market (of which she had 'supposedly' sworn off!) and came home with a the Barbie All Around Home - Family Room Playset, of which belongs to Ophelia on my shelf. She was very over-excited because she also managed to bring home a Special Edition, she's been coverting for quite awhile:

Julia Piank - A.K.A Special Edition Happy Holidays Barbie 1998
Julia is Porcia's older sister and whilst Porcia is the darling of The Bedroom, Julia is the "special one" of their six daughter family (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Pink, Special Edition & Store Exclusive girls, respectively). Sucessful and admirable, Julia owns and runs the family hotel and airline branches. Partial to pretty dresses (especilly those her sister creates!), glitter, elaborate hairstyles and the Nicole Kidman version of 'The Stepford Wives'.

So, will you be staying in the Bedroom?
Yes! I want to be closer to my baby sister and the Bedroom is a lot more comfortable then the high cabinet apartment I've been living in. I travel pretty often for work, but I'd like to be comfortable when I do stay still.
You're gorgeous!
I know, can't help it! It doesn't help that I'm quite the girly girl and love putting on makeup and fancy gowns! Thank goodness there always seems an engagment where that's nessacary.
You're more energetic then Porcia...
Being the baby, she's had to work harder to get to the same level of acheivement as her sisters. She's also had a child which makes her more paitent, calm and hard-working. I'm also on the go, I have to keep moving! I'm in a buisness where travel and change are important, so I really don't have time to be like her. Things move quick in my industry.
What do you think of your neice, Belinda?
She's going to be as gorgeous as her mother one day, with that face mould. She just needs to finish growing up first and start planning for herself. She's such a cutie, I really adore her.

Finally a Catch Up!

Has any one noticed that the Bedroom is always busy these days? We've had a few parties, a hurricane (rei_ant calls it a through cleanout, but we know better!), a strange little creature who like to examine under Bridgette's tutu, then grab all of us off the shelf and toss us into the aftermath of the hurricane. Human babies, what did a doll ever have use for one?

After much anticipation and our owner nearly passing out from worry, Drew and Blaine finally arrived a week before the small terror. rei_ant nearly passed out at the front door and completly bi-passed The Bedroom to open the box in the living room. Poor plastic people, the box was in horrible shape!

Blaine: I think we've stopped moving again, can you see anything?
Drew: Bubble wrap. All I've seen for the last week and a half is bubble wrap. Nothing's changed.
Blaine: Well, there is that large open crack on your side of the box...
Drew: That's padded with BUBBLE WRAP!

Drew: Darling, are you ok? Your pink box seems to be drowning in the bubble wrap...
Blaine: You're never going to get over the bubble wrap, are you?
Drew: Have I gotten over the fact you have a pink box?
Blaine: Pink is very fashionable for men in France...
Drew: They don't live in pink, just pink shirts. My loveable gay man ♥

Blaine: I hope this isn't where we're meant to live...
Drew: Our new owner scares the hell out of me.

Drew: Smile, and maybe she'll go away, then we can ship ourselves to Harvard Law School.

Drew Excyo - (A.K.A Fashion Fever Tokyo 2005 Drew)

Drew is orginally from Tokyo. Yes, I know she doesn't look naturally Japanease, but her parents were American diplomats. As a child of a diplomat, she's traveled quite a lot, but calls the bustling Tokyo home, as it's the somewhere where she's spent the most time. Frequently dresses in the various Japanease subcultures and enjoys a good glass of red wine with her sashimi.

That is the most awesome bag I have ever seen!
I know, I love it too. It fits all my stuff, but as Blaine's to "manly" to own a bag, he chucks his stuff in too...he has much more stuff then me...I don't know why he thinks he can't pull off a handbag, my lovable gay, pink boxed, man.
You guys have the weirdest nicknames. What's up with that?
Well, there's the couples that call each other "muffin" and "baby"...I just don't get it. We call each other stuff that means something, you don't nickname your friends stuff like "sweetie" for no reason, do you? So Blaine is my lovable, gay man ♥
So, you've been in a relationship for awhile?
While my parents are technically based in Japan, being diplomats means you move around quite often and being "based" somewhere is just where most of your stuff gets sent. Doesn't really give you much chance to get to know people. Blaine's had the same sorta family situation and we crossed paths a lot. Then, when we got older and independant from our parents, we were hanging out at the store and were bought. Our cylinder were placed together on the shelf, the first time we'd ever stopped moving!
Favourite colour?
Electric Blue at the moment, but it frequently changes. Can't keep them straight!

Blaine Modtre - (A.K.A Fashion Fever Modern Trends 2006 Blaine)

He may have lived in a pink box, like shopping and dress almost acceptably, but he is an a real relationship. With a real plastic woman (will Roger ever find his man?). In his spare time, Blaine likes to read Pulizter prize winning novels and medical journals, if his "Tokyo Bluebell" doesn't drag him away first. Unlike her, he prefer to be slow, calm and centered, favouriting watching foreign films with a hot cup of mochachino, then playing paintball illegally on the Golden Gate Bridge.

I don't mind a good Starbucks every now again...but I don't like their prices. I like to ground and make my own coffee. Drew, on the otherhand, has to buy Starbucks, she's horrible in the kitchen.

Monday Catchup Round...

rei_ant is in the middle of a huge cleanout. From my prime position at the top of the computer shelves...you can't really see much past her new huge-ass, black computer moniter. There's paper human clothes, some of our meeting chairs, David's head...strewn all over the floor. Only two bags of stuff to chuck! Sometimes it's shameful living here with her. However, other then being a very busy time (with the clean-up and rei_ant just went back to school today), she's been looking over us with sadness in her eyes. When she eventually moves out only some of us fashion dolls can "come with". Some, get priority - First Lady Bubble Angel Barbie (how surprising), Portia and Pretty Hearts. Rumour has it the Fashion Fevers will probably get dibs, nine of them so far - two more on the way (more about that later!). I'm praying I too will get a place, but then who will report the gossip in the Bedroom?
What's more discomforting, after all the "move out" is so far off, is that rei_ant is feeling more pressure to sell some of us off. I know, it's shocking. I suppose in the coming weeks there will be more cattiness going on...However, I think Rei ~ Ant is more likely to sell of the older dolls with little to no value to a collector, tch tch. Dolls like me I suppose! *fear fear*

Happier news! Fashion Fevers Toyko Drew and Modern Trends 2006 Blaine are on their way and should be here by friday! I hear Kayla is already planning a party and Christopher is making room next to himself for some "man-to-man" time (Shairi and IsaBella not being "manly" enough for him). Photos to be up soon after! I know rei_ant is estastic, she's wanted to own Drew for a long time. She prances a lot when she's happy.

Slightly worse news! Now, everyone in the room, minus it's stupid owner noticed a few weeks back that Alexa's corset light bulb had learnt. Many gigglefits were had over every lame attempt of rei_ant's to switch her on. Thankfully, Alexa's breasts are not used often, so it did not dampen the atmosphere. Unfortunatly, rei_ant's not that bright. Last night, it was too dark for her to type in her own journal so kept flicking Alexa's switch to no avial. "Oh, the blub's probably just come loose...". You missed the fireworks show and rei_ant swearing loudy as the bedroom went to a blackout (Becca, the fool she is, thought it was a war and tumbled from the shelf in order to find shelter on the floor somewhere). So now, we are all working in the very bright main light and Alexa's blub does not make as nice "clicky sound" as her corset blub does. Poor Lexy...

You haven't been properly introduced yet, but a few back weeks back Katia Phillips or KP as she's mostly known, was purchased (with Rei ~ Ant's now scarred and forever dirty, dirty hands!) under the premise of "buying a jacket for the other girls". She sorta won Rei over(and woodstockangel too, mind you!) with her punky take on her schoolgirl uniform. Most people in the human Drama class also fell for her so called "innocent looks" (most noteable is Tom, who was obsessed with touching her hair...). In order for rei_ant to reconcile with herself for doing such a dirty, dirty deed, she decided to take Katia along on her family's overnight trip to Sydney, along with the infamous Mr. Bunnykins.

At the Airport Mercure after sitting in the hot car the whole day and suffering through The Nana.

Hanging out and wondering if she'll go shopping with the family the next day.

Looking out the window, watching for airplanes and spaceships. You'd think hotels would do a better job cleaning their windows...

Spending some time with Mr. Bunnykins before bed a.k.a providing sympathy and understanding before Rei ~ Ant crushes his head by using him as a pillow.

Katia hit the Bratz easter egg motherload on Easter Sunday. She doesn't share with Mr. Bunnykins stating "cannabalism". He asks her since when is he "made of chocolate?".

Waiting for the male parental until to finish up with the room arrangments so they can leave. Mr.Bunnykins spots more "hot breeders in suits".

There would be more photos, but due to how large the camera is compared to Rei, Katia and Mr. Bunnykins and the batteries going flat, Rei had to say no to Katia's tearful face. "But what if no one believes I came to Sydney?" "Tell them you witnessed a bar fight from the car in Cabramatta".

Katia 'KP' Phillips (A.K.A Bratz Katia Class)
Your seemingly average schoolgirl, Katia parades herself around adults as a responsible young adult. On the weekends she goes food shopping with her mother and let's all her mother's friends pinch her cheeks, like the adoring, merciful daughter she is. On saturday night she goes over to her cousin Jade's home, hitches up her skirt even higher and stumbles out of clubs, and sleeps till 3pm in order to be presentable when going to church and home that evening. Or at least until recently when her nice folks thought it would be a good idea to have her live permenently with Jade...

Weekly News Update

Today, I gathered a bunch of photos I'd collected with all the bedroom dolls and made each of the sign it. A copy is on the profile page - a nice addition, no? I thought it was a bit vain just to talk about me on a page that should be about all of us.
Feel a bit bad that I had to leave out the other cruical toys in the room - Leah Regina, Mr. Fluffykins, Alexa, Pinkie Bluey, Rex, Ralph etc. Perhaps, rei_ant will make one with them later. Then again, Ralph may have some difficulty signing his name, being a snake with no limbs.

A few days back, The Bedroom was invaded by the plague (much better known as woodstockangel and nenaralya's Bratz dolls). It started off as an innocent enough nightclub gig...but sure enough, when Jade's involved, things are going to take a turn for the worse. All the Bratz dolls are suddenly put in an AA meeting, which none of them took seriously. Oh, the acts of those short dolls!

The first Barbie eBay purchased came in a few days back. Betty Richardson in her blue FF cylinder even evoked the curiosity of rei_ant's mother and spent her first few hours in the family room, as opposed to the Bedroom. She's settled in rather nicely, as yuppie as she may seem, on the top shelf next to Shairi. One hopes, I can make a new friend of her in the soon to come interview! (Even if she doesn't look like a Ma-Nu-Ka brat)

Other soon to come interviews include: The Easter Bunny, whose proper name is considering a name change, Bratz Katia Phillips, Mother Kokeshi and baby Leo and some of the other warbles that seek refuge from their former home at rei_ant's grandmothers.

There will always be a short collection of the photos from Katia & Mr.Fluffykins trip to Sydney with the family over Easter! (I hope Mr.Fluffykins didn't snore as mucha s he does at home, it might disturb the parental units further)

It's tough being a doll when there's so much work to do!

Media Alert...Princesses Of The "Alternative" Lifestyle...

The Wiickesses (A.K.A The Wicked Twiins, Drugs Whores)
To every society, there is an underworld, where even the rich and beautiful call home. Belinda and Jade love to cause scandal in The Bedroom, but the Wickess twins are more subtle. Often seen flounting unknown wealth, obvious dealings with the dirty buisness of dealing (you would think they'd be a bit more secretive!), yet mostly avoiding the company of others and being rude and impertinant when they fail at that. Just to get this interview done, I had to sink to all new lows and delve into somewhere quite unknown to a good girl like me...(luckily, the girls are also fond of self promotion, so they were agreeable as long as they got a post to themselves...)

The twins are identical, save for the position of the mole near their pert mouths, the mirrored image of their black streaks through their gorgeous brown hair, parted on opposite sides of each girl. They've always been together and enjoy nothing more then keeping the other toys, particarly the Bratz Modern Princesses down. However, they don't see themeselves as bullies, "they are very nice, beautiful people".

Weirdly, they are both genetical twin sisters AND stepsisters - their father married their mother twice (among many others). The girls no longer talk to "the atms". They've been nicknamed "the wicked stepsisters" due their um, ~~less then nice nature~~, sense of fashion, of course!

Diona Wiickess
The first born child and give off a more mature, ladylike air. She loves puff and frill and light use of her favourite dark makeup. A full beliver in the japanease Lolita fashion and enjoys drinking jasmine tea. Hates the feeling of fishnet on her legs. Will buy anything glittery, or jewel encrusted - especilly if it's branded or has a large,very expensive price tag. The "pink sister".

We all give nicknames to our friends and siblings. Between the two of you, you're called the Wicked Stepsisters, but what do you call Ciara?
I think we have pretty good names, personally - so aristocratic! I suppose when she does something pretty nifty, I call her "Spunky" - 'cuz she's always causing trouble! She's so much fun to be around, I don't know why people bother with getting friends. What an inconveince that must be.
You're famous for using heavy perfumes - what's your favourite?
...Perfumes? Oh *giggle* I love poppies and all they bring to the world from poppy seed bread, to my essential party item - Opuim. It's so elegant, don't you think?

I don't wear spray scent. I wear opuim. Duh. It's very relaxing!

Ciara Wiickess
Ciara is the more active of the two and the more boyish. She loves her death metal, her emo boys and makeup as heavy as it gets. The shorter the skirt the better! Has quite an obsession with petticoats, black underwear and carrying out her big sister's crazy, ~~evil~~ plans. Likes to act the innocent and shop for print desings, particarly leopard and camoflage. Hates preps and music with no beat. The "green sister".

I don't know why anyone would bother having supermodels or anything - my sister is everything and more. Must suck to be other people.

Interviewies!

Well, I'm back from my summer vaction and have been plagued by many, many recounts of the Bedroom! There's many new "christmas immigrants", a fight, a new friend for moi, a new shop and lots of stuff stored around Rei's room. Currently I'm surveying the place from my "balcony chair" and you can see the shelf is starting to get very full...

Ah, yes, the inevitable interviews...

Aimee Realhousser - (A.K.A Real House Barbie)

Aimee moved here from MYER as the new "real" stories editor. In the terms of her contract she also manage to score an awesome house (where's my house Porcia, Rei? Just because I write fashion and gossip columns doesn't mean I don't deserve more then a bit of desk space!). She's the sort girl-next-door type of girl, with very firm career motivations. Unfortunatly, she's also the poor-as-dirt sort of career girl, but hey, she wanted to be a "real life" toy journalist!
Aimee likes nothing more to relax after work and eat popcorn in front of the TV, while contemplating her lonely lifestyle.

So, new job, new house, new room...are you better off?
Well there's certinaly alot more scoop here for stories *sarcasm*. Back at MYER, there would be the monthly theft, an angry parent, a credit card decline and how some kid wet the floor "accidently". I like it here more though, the high paced mall life isn't for me. Whilst the stories aren't out-of-this-world, there's lots of interesting stuff going on and it's nice to bring awareness of the human world to the room.
I'd kill for your house, is it all it seems to be?
The house has some nice flowers out the front, a "flushing" toilet and a microwave. I'm content. It's homely and most of the time quiet...when my sister isn't home. And I have a washing machine and drier! I'm so excitied, I've never been able to afford one before, what with IsaBella's spending....
Ah, yes your already famous socialite sister! How's sharing this experience with her?
Honestly? Painful. We lived together back in the factory and even when I was at MYER, she was only a few sheleves away, always taking my credit card for her rediculas spending sprees. She's a...free spirit. I love her, but grounding isn't one of her strong traits.
So, you're not close?
She doesn't work and she's a moocher. We're close in that she sleeps in my room while I'm at work. But, even after that, she's still my little sister and she makes me laugh, the way she carries on. I do like having her around (most of the time).

IsaBella Realhousser - (A.K.A Makeup Chic Barbie)

The complete opposite of her sister, IsaBella lives for fun! If there's a party, she'll be there turning heads with her long, "real" lashes, her flamboyant outfits. Jade and Belinda may be the "wild girls" of the room, but IsaBella, along her friend Shairi, are the somewhat tamer "party girls". Moving mainly for a change and the comfort her secure sister brings, IsaBella is very self-confident in herself and has no regrets for the things she does.

So, the dolls back at MYER or the Bedroom?
Well, like, they're both really different. MYER girls love to have fun, but they're alot more ladylike and classy, it's the kids section, you have to set an example. Also, being MYER, we didn't get really crazy kids all the time, so we're pretty sheltered. Most of the girls here are from Woolworths, so they're a bit rougher, but more willing to go to extremes to have fun. I like both, like htey both have their place.
But your best friend is a MYER girl too?
Yeah, but she's not as elegant as me, but that's not her fault. Apprently, Belco MYER is a few steps above Woolworths. I love 'Ari - we're from the same line. Different, stores but the same fashion tastes! She's gorgeous!</i>
Some would say you're shallow and cruel mooching off your sister...
Like, that's an unfair statement. I love my sister. She loves me, we take care of each other. She'd never go out and get "popcorn fat" if it wasn't for me making her go out. I'm not shallow, but I'm young and I don't want to do anything boring until I have to - my sister is nice enough to allow me too. If she didn't agree with it - she'd, like, remove me from her house wouldn't she?

Shairi Teresata - (A.K.A Makeup Chic Teresa)

Shairi is the quieter of the 'Ari/Bella' duo, but the not the lesser. Loves more simple outfits and hip-hop over pop then her bestie, but the better dancer of the two. Shairi loves to stay out until the wee hours and is often seen even after IsaBella has collapsed. Has no paitence for Belinda or Jade, but when not with IsaBella, can be seen teasing Becca.

Well, it's not something one should tell - but it does take effort to look constantly good and have fun! Sleep is for the boring, like 'Bella's sister, I don't know how she manages it.

I have checks sent ever month from my parents. I won't ork until I'm bored with this lif - and it won't be soon.
So, what keeps you "constantly good" and fresh?
Makeup and...uh...some very nice "vitimans". Being happy is an awesome high too!

Kayla Tansumi - (A.K.A First Wave Fashion Fever)

The asian influence has hit the Bedroom! Kayla loves to shop and puts together the cutest outfits. She tends to be a bit more of a loner, but contributes to the International Style column and is avid on discussion forums. Kayla has traveled all over the world and you tell how it inspires her! Beautiful and multi-lingual, yet still with a soft spot for furry animals and printed bags.

You've gone everywhere! Favourite places to shop?
Oh, there are so many! I love the usaully, bargins in the London Portabello markets, Harajuku, the quaint boutiques of Normandy, the beach markets of Bali...the best places, however, are the least likely, I have an awesome reed belt from trash'n'treasure in Cali...
Do you think being fluent in many languages is good?
Yes, you can connect with anyone! It also helps at the shops *winks* So far I know, Manderin, Japanese, Russian (Sonya and I have long conversation!), Finish, Indonesian, French, Italian, Spanish and English, of course! It just opens up the world. And you look like less of a moron, too.
What do you think of everyone in the room?
Oh, everyone is lovely! I really enjoy talking to Rex the dog, the Cabbage Patch cousins, Sonya...and Kris makes me laugh, he's so silly! It's nice to go away and come home to such warm people
Favourite animal?
Cat, for sure. My favourite bag has a cat print, as does my favourite shirt!

Kris Berghoffer - (A.K.A Fashion Fever)

Kris has the 'lucky' distinction of being the only male in the Bedroom (besides Roger, of course, but Roger is close to being female anyway). Porcia enlisted him to model her Men's line and he's a hit with all the male-starved young women ('Ari/Bella' VS. Belinda/Jade). Kris, himself love the attention the parties but is most found in deep conversation with the likes of Blanche, Sonya and Kayla. He loves a good laugh, an action film with lots of blood and is always wearing Tommy Hilflinger cologne. Does have the odd fashion taste of a gay backstreet boy through...

Hows it feel to be the only male model in the Bedroom?
It could be worse, there's plenty of fawning girls. Most of all, I think I'm just in love with the camera
There are some who say you look like a 'gay backstreet boy', what do say for that?
The Backstreet Boys are awesome! I have all their albums! So, what, they also have a lot of girl and Kevein wears rediculas hats...I don't like hats!
Do you have the capicity to be serious?
I was being serious, I really do have all their albums...and I like looking like them, it's different then anything else. Also, haven't you seen my serious face yet? *pulls face which makes me giggle*
Kayla said you were pretty silly when I interviewed her earlier...any romances on the horizon?
With Kayla? Nah, I'm too small town for her and anyone else I hang out with. I'm just a boy from the country who likes the Backstreet Boys! Oh, and I love stupid soapies like neighbours...they're romances are more interesting then anything I could attempt

Ballana Orangepo - (A.K.A Chic Teresa)

Ballana was the wonderful dancer who showed off at the Presidential Exhibition before I went away on vaction. She's very committed and always at rehersal, but when she gets spare time, she loves to chill and watch movie like 'Fame' and 'Centerstage'. Trained in the more modern styles for the last 17 years, she very professional and loves having Roger as her partner.

So, what's your favourite dance style?
Well, I love the more latino styles - Tango and Salsa stand out in particular. They just feel sexy but need lots of practise to get just right! Latin also has the best outfits!
I've seen alot of movies and your feet must look awful from all that constant work!
Nah, they've toughned up over the years. You do have to be careful, things like party feet pads come in handy, I stamp around so much. I think you'll find it's ballet dancers who have the bruises and stuff. I know Bridgette is in constant pain - she's more dedicated then me!

Yesh, when we can fit it in. We have alot in common - she dabbled a bit in modern and I started off as a ballerina (but I wasn't half as good as her!).

Roger Nicohlas - (A.K.A Glitter Beach Ken)

The generic gay guy, right down to the bad purple shirt. Roger is more then that though - he's surprisingly well read and an awesome dancer! He's also makes a mean cup of coffee and can cheer one up real fast. FACT: Roger and I were bought together - we've known each other since before we can remember. I did want an interview with my favourite cowboy, but apprently his dance rehersals are more important!

Now, there are two more inteviews missing, but the two girls demand that if they be featured at all, they must have their own post! (Stuck up princess....*cough*).

Dance Exhibition Press Photos!

Busy, busy, busy! Our President and First Lady were finally able to make their trip upstairs last week and have been having piles of fun, completed by the wonderful dance exhibition by our latino dancers, Roger Kenncci and our newest Barbie, Ballana Organepo! Once again, Belinda had been causing trouble, now with her newest playmate, the beatiful, but not overly bright Becca.

So, just like we have the best and worst dressed of the Grammys, we also have the best and worst of the Presidential Dance Exhibition!

I, the ever faithful reporter took the event with sparkly eyes and my pen cap microphone. I graced the lounge room carpet to snag interviews and photos with only the best, but some just failed on us (oh, Belinda!).

First to make an entrance were the required groupies, our three "innocent girls" (through Britney has had her share of mishaps, let's not talk about her Geri Spice dress). From left to right, Bonnie, Bethany & Britney Jones - all wearing their orginal outfits. Britney is, of course, the First Lady's Aunt through a series of complicated family issues, a downstairs party girl, who lives with the First Lady's younger sister, Pretty Hearts.

Next up was the notorious Jade, in her trademark red party dress. She seems to have finally recovered from the "shocking" experience involving her gold shoes, but I'm not sure if Rei ~ Ant ever will.

Sonya, Blanche & Brietta came up next, posing next to the squishy green couch for my photograph (on second glance, I may have not been the only one welding a camera, their focus is eveidenty "somewhere else"). All looked very adult and elegant, but what do you expect from Porcia personal secatary and two senior models? (who have been reported to be Porcia's "personal favourites"!). Whilst Blanche and Sonya wore their customary outfits, Brietta instead wore one of the CityStyle outfits, that was perhaps a bit hot for the season (a long deniem jacket and boots in summer?), but pulled it off with an air of sophistication. Probably better to wear then underwear, eh?

The talented ballerina of the room, Bridgette, took time out of her busy rehersal schedule to attend (how could she refuse an invite from Porcia and the company of the President and First Lady?). She wore an outfit combined from the Fashion Fever range, a mixture of print and lines.

The entertainment for the evening was next, much to the joy of their admirers. They haven't been dancing long and certainly never in font of such an esteemed crowd, but seemed to also be fervently happy. Introducing the wondful dance couple, Ballana Orangepo and Roger Nicohlas!

I'm not too crash hot on the sparkly purple half tank top and blue trousers either. Ballana has some nice orange dance shoes, however. We look good standing together, orangey:P

The hostess and her husband entered next. Porcia in her usaul, but beautiful blue dress and her nameless partner in something that we don't care about. I managed to get this shot, with a soft looking Procia ready to stab her date in the stomach with her arm. One wonders just how they act towards each other at home...do they even live together anymore?

The guest of honour entered soon after, obviously still haggard after such a long trip upstairs. The flight is never very good, and the carrier arms quite rushed and unsteady most of the time, so forgiveness is due to the slightly mussed appreance of the Presidential couple. First Lady Bubble Angel Barbie still looks splendid in her pink & purple gown, trimmed in silver. The President tries to match with a similer colour tie suit, with a shiny pink & white vest. Even at their age, the prime couple still manage to have the "x factor".

There was a massive a la carte dining, in which everyone had large glasses of champagne before retiring to the arena to watch the musch-anticipated recital. Was it worth the wait?

It started alright, a bit of the old fashioned ballroom style, bit of latin. I'm glad everyone was kinda drunk when it started to look like a strip club routine...

(Yes, that is me photographing on the right side there! :P). I don't think anyone was sober enough to ask them on the appropriateness of the routine (thank goodness the the President and his wife didn't bring up their little daughter!).

Not only that, but as when I did the print of the pictures, I found this little scandal had been happening right in front of us!

Now, there are two things to discuss here (I swear, this is not a gossip column!).
A) Is Belinda showing Becca "her" ways of the upstairs world? Are they high? Just what is in Belinda glass? Is she really, almost, forcing Becca onto that attractive unidentifiable young man? Did he take advantage of her? Or did she of him? Well, well, well!
B) Just how did Belinda get in in the first place? The fued (of Belinda's many!) between her and her mother is quite vicious, and it had seemed nothing was going to come in between the stubborn two. Did Porcia relent, is one of our biggest stories of the year over? Did Belinda overcome her partying ways to kiss her mothers professionally manicured feet (highly unlikely after this shot!)? Or has Belinda's no-named father softened the prowling Porcia from this brawl? It is certinaly something I'll have to look into...

Despite the scandelous behaviour of the dancers, and the Prussian family's many issues, drunken fun was had with a terrific turnout. The younger girls cheering for our dear, gay Roger (he does have muscles after all!) and getting their first taste of "adult" conventions. Our slightly more "mutured" lot, taking it in their slide gracefully, unlike the "just adults" group seeming as if they were too good for the event (Sonya, for example, spent the whole time holding her glass with her pinkie figer out and taking work-related notes). Jade for once, acted like an angel, but perhaps she was just adjusting to being given alcohol freely and not having the opportunity to go snort something.

Jade seems to be the death of rei_ant, giving her a heart attack about a minute ago. Her infamous gold shoes came today, curtosy of nenaralya and thankfully they haven't wandered off yet. Unfortunatly, Jade decided to celebrate by getting her hair mushed, therefore having to have it brushed with her teeny and ineffectual brush.

This is when the heart attack occurred. For no reason other then they are stupid, one of Jade's earring became loose and was nowhere to be found.

It's all good now, but will this girl please keep track of her belongings? It's stressing everyone out!

Ok, a few reports today from me and then one from a special guest reporter! ^_^

On the weekend, amongst some other "shocking" events from the "big people", we were more shocked when woodstockangel and nenaralya's Bratz came over for a "sleepover" and took over the whole room! Even the "big people" started toying with them. It was frightning to see so many of "Jade's people", who quite frankly, are just as unfriendly as she is. No interviews from them either!
Did however, snap some photos of the large group:

There was an interview placed today by a newbie to the room, that I manage sneak in on...

Becca: This job is so in the hoop. How on earth could anyone be as sexy as me? *sings The Glamourous Life*

Sonya: I assume you're the new girl? Come this way please, Porcia is waiting for you...

Becca: Excuse me? I'm too sexy to walk behind anyone.
Sonya: But you have no idea where you're going...
Becca: Can't be that hard, there aren't any walls in this place!

Sonya: *whispers* Pretentious little-
Becca: I know you, woolworths girl. Some of us automatically get better - I guess your resume sucked.

Sonya: Listen, if you want this job you're going to need to go and re-adjust your spine, your attitude is awful. Porcia has severe issuse with that. Only call her Porcia, only speak when asked, don't lean over her desk and don't ask more question then you have too
Becca: How come you're telling me all this
Sonya: Duh, I'm her sectary. Some of us actually care about stuff other then being the stereotype.
Becca: Loser. You're too fat to be a model.

Becca: Yo. I'm Becca Diston, but you probably already knew that
Porcia: Excuse me?
Becca: I was the hottest woolworths Barbie in the mall. I'm your next top model.
Porcia: You must be hot, you're wearing a fur coat dress in 32 degree weather
Becca: *unruffled*. Sexy people wear fur all year around.
Porcia: Are you drunk?
Becca: Not yet - wanna show me to the nearest buffalo spot?

Porcia: Why do you want to work as a model for us?

Becca: I told you, everyone knows me! I was the "hot stuffing" at woolworths!

Blanche: I doubt it. She's the blonde Belinda without the inheritance!
Sonya: I wonder if that's her real hair or she stole it from a horse's tail?

Sonya: Yes! AND I WILL RULE THE WORLD TALKING ABOUT YOU! BWHAHAHAHA

Becca Diston - (A.K.A Fashion Fever Collection Barbie)

A flamboyant exhibitionist, Becca is already trying to mingle with life here in the Bedrooom. With a slightly bigger head then everyone else, she has plans to overcome Blanche to become the Bedroom's top model and forget her woolworth's roots. Unfortunatly, the poor girl suffers from overconfidence with no backing and our brains would all melt if I gave you an interview.

Sonya Bestuntry - (A.K.A CityStyle)

Recently recrutited as Porcia's sectary, Sonya has intrests in the backstage running of the fashion industry. Another woolworths girl, but also has an intelligence to backup her pretty russian looks. Already good friends with Blanche and on good terms with Porcia, she's easing into our lifstlye happily. Whilst very busy making Porcia cups of coffee and answering phones, she agreed to give us the

Well, there's not much to it is there? It's more interesting then staring at the meat aisle and watching eggs becoming rotten. At least now I can move around.

Even if she wasn't my boss, I wouldn't have anything bad to say about her. She's professional, lady-like and runs the magazine like a boot camp in designer clothes.

I have a thing for Vera Wang. I think she's influenced alot of the fashion world. Her designs are really pretty, princessey even.

Ew, no way. I'd like to think I dress better then those 17 year old frill covered deoderant cans. So, immature and repulsive. I had to live next to smelly ones back in woolworths!
Brietta Manera - (A.K.A Fashion Fever Lingerie Collection Barbie)

Brietta is the current lingerie model and refuses to model anything else. A bit self-concious, but has a beautiful heart. Takes time out to evaulate herself, and always tries to be friendly. It could be for some reason that Becca has been clinging to her like a lost sheep. She flashed a smile whe I requested an
Why only lingerie?
Lingerie is the one shoot where everyone cares more about what a model is wearing then what she individually looks like. I'm pretty self-concious when it comes to my body, so I like knowing that people don't have a focus on what I personally look like. It's also nice to see something out of the ordinary - not just the same dresses and pants mix. You can be expiremental with it.
Favourite Colour?
I like prints better then just bland ordinary colours. I like purple and pink together, in a sort of old-fashioned style.
How's the bedroom going?
It's fun meeting so many people and getting around. I love the shelf, when you get bored or want to be alone, you can just turn around and read! Everything is so gorgeous too, it's nice to live somewhere astheticaly pretty.
What about the girls?
Most are very nice. That's all I'm going to say.

And now, for our special report, from up and coming Hayley down at barbiedoll_girl. She had her little entourage come and stake out the Bedroom yesterday and we are all dearly ashamed of what they reported back...:
Well, well... it seems that Jade and Belinda have had a "head-to-head" after Belinda was heard telling Jade that she looked like "white trash" when wearing gold shoes! This shock argument occurred only minutes after Jade was seen asking people if they'd seen/could help her find the aforementioned shoe. It seemed slurring out petitions and then off-handedly commenting that "panel-beaters" like Belinda always turn to cheap Kmart outfits and shoe-theft when someone else had "better pumps" turned into an all out cat fight. It was then that Belinda attempted to slap Jade, but somehow the alcohol soaked girl "dodged" the blow (though many onlookers believe it was merely a dazed stumble) and came back with force. A few lame names were called and eventually Jade limped away with a token wad of "brown-eye Britney's" hair clenched in her fist and a bite mark in her foot after trying to crush Belinda's jugular. Belinda was reportedly seen having Porcia kiss her "boo-boo" better - although this story is yet to be confirmed!</i>

Hmmmm...might have to work on these girl's public spectacles.

Well, it seems rei_ant is planning yet another bedroom renovation. Despite the fact she could get a job to save to move out, she's getting a job to
a) Pay off debts
b) Have something to do
c) Have enough money to buy some nice glassed in shelving for us dolls. It's almost a bit sad because I will be excempt from getting a room in a shelf because I live on the desk *sigh* However, Jade is also hobo (at least I have a job!:P) and shuffles around the room in a stupor.

Talking about Jade, she got a letter today from her friends who live with woodstockangel & nenaralya.

Jade was quite excited to be recieving mail from "real people" because "they don't dress like snails". I don't know what that means either. Jade was further jubilent when some more items fell out of the envelope:

I must say, those 'Bratz' magazines are a little...different...then the ones we have here. Jade has been shoving her photgraph of her "gal-pals" in front of everyone's faces which seems to have infuriated Belinda. Who seems to also be homeless at the moment...

Also, we have a new edition to our little family in the way of little Myer! rei_ant managed to pick him up from Santa. He's settling quite well, he's very soft!

However, he only seems capable of saying "merry christmas" and making dog sounds...He's currently residing on his "I saw santa at MYER" lanyard on the closet doorknob. Wish I could hang from a doorknob.

Also the Fashion Fever dolls have been edited and packaging changed! And everyone here liked the cylindracal boxes so much...

Well hasn't the world been a whirlwind of fun lately? It's test week in rei_ant's room, so we've been busy helping her avoid studying! It's only just turned 11pm here and already I've been out clubbing, drunk a couple of daiquiris, picked up some scoops and had an awesome time hanging out with the beautiful Bethany and Bonnie.

Both newcomers (and featured last entry!), they've bonded and seem to be going everywhere with each other. Surprising, since last week there were rumours of Belinda sinking her blue-tipped fingernails into Bonnie's arms - even, *gasp* saying that they were "best friends"! That sure has fizzled! (I checked, thankfully there are no telling bruises/cuts on poor Bonnie's arms!). I managed to meet the girls hanging out in The Parental Units Room watching that awful (but so much fun!) soapie, 'The O.C' on the big screen. We had a couple of drinks and talked and perhaps I had a bit too many...hehe *hiccup*

Talking of our mischievous Belinda the big news is that the ever-so-paitent Porcia has kicked her out of their shelf! There is no official statement on the event or what will become of it but neither parties seem eagar to reconcile. Belinda, a known trouble maker and hardcore party girl is as stubborn as her mother when it comes to decisions and seems to have decided that she'll just party; in today's strange pictures of drunks:

Don't be misled however - the Jade/Belinda war is still happenin', later on this night Belinda reportedly helped Jade into the bathroom where she gave the poor girl a swirly. In retaliation (once dried off and as sober as we've ever seen her so far), Jade helped Belinda into a car (drunk again, how many times does this girl go at the bottle?) and paid the driver to take her to our equivalent of the tip, Under The Bed. She underpaid the driver, so he left Belinda there despite her protests (I guess she left home without her wallet?). When will the pranks end?

In Jade news, I managed to capture the girl in a quiet moment. She does read! I know, it's amazing. We were shocked too.

Did you see what she's reading? Yes, everyone, it appears when no one is looking she will read a Porcia sponsered magazine. Bonnie was telling me she thought it may be her copy as that Jade "randomly dropped by" during the day and it disappered with her. Was she too afraid to be seen buying her own copy? Does she read it for my articles? Why was she stupid enough to read it on the bedside where everyone can see her? What was in her glass (it certinaly wasn't milk!)?

This weekend holds a large event - the President and his family will be journing up to The Bedroom for a forum. I, your faithful reporter will be the bearer of any news and will of course be releasing any photographs. Everyone here has just changed into their summer gear (so much hotter up here) and is focusing all their attention on the family's arrival. Wonder what they'll wear?

The last few weeks have been party after party! There's been Porcia's End Of Financial Year Bash (despite the fact we have no financial year and we have it when we want), President Jones's locked party (hosted by the always beautiful First Lady, Bubble Angel Barbie), dear Bonnie's welcome party, The Birthday and next week will be Bubble Angel and her sister Pretty Heart's birthdays! What a month! Or should I say two months?

Anyway, being the helpful, friendly reporter I am, I thought I'd introduce you to the new meat - all of which currently reside in the Bedroom.

Bonnie Nutral (A.K.A Fashion Fever Bookcase Barbie)

Bonnie is nothing out of the ordinary (other then being stunningly gorgeous!), your average teenager. About 18 physically and attending Washington Heights High with our own Britney Sraeps. She loves collecting toys, nature and reading 'Fashion Weekly (*squee* I write for them!). Most comfortable in a pair of jeans and sitting on her pink bean bag. Very passionate about protecting the enviroment and it's inhabitants. Likes canola bars, hates meat (and fur coats). Very co-operative, she squealed when I requested a quick .
Favourite Colour?
I love pink! My whole shelf is decorated is different shades. However, I'm very partial to baby blue and white! They remind me of the sky!
What do you do on an average weekend?
Well, I haven't been here long so I love exploring! I still haven't ventured DownStairs besides school, but Britney has promised to show me around. I love to read classics, go for long walks in the park and go horseriding when I'm not caught up with social events or the heavy weight of school!
Ah, yes, I remember how hard school used to be on weekends! What's your favourite subject?
Oh, I love all my subjects! I'm very into the Natural Sciences, so I love geology, genetics, biology. I actually enjoy studying. I'm really good at math too - who doesn't like doing a subject they're good at?
Any favourite animals or plants then?
I love bears and butterflies! I was so excited when I met Butterfly Barbie, she has such an amazing collection (though I am sad for the poor things, pinned up on her walls). I love oak trees too. They have such interesting leaves...

Jade Stuatz (A.K.A Bratz Jade Passion 4 Fashion)

This girl has started quite some trouble! Despite suffering from some awful accident at birth and some further "accidents" trying to fix the former with plastic surgery, Jade thinks she's awesome. Going to as many parties as possible (and hooking up with anyone possible!) and doing the concert run (loves to headbang). Has already started a fued with Belinda Prussian (supposedly over whose shoes were higher!). The daughter of rich MGA Entertainment person, she's always seen in the latest fashions, but due to her fighting with Belinda refuses to wear any of the Prussian line. Known as a bit rude, but a wicked dancer, Jade slurred out an interview refusal when I asked her earlier today. However, I was able to use the computer to Wikipedia her.
Heritage: Supposedly Asian
Her job: Ex-intern of "Your Thing" magazine, fashion and life-style editor for the "Bratz" magazine and a member of the Bratz Rock Angelz band. Should technically still be at school, but we've found no information saying she does.

Bethany reminds me of a fragile victorian doll. A bit shy and prone to nervousness ("My heart beats as if there's a train coming at me!"), Bethany is trying to become a model. She fits the part too, she's charming, modest but willing to do what's needed, with good taste in fashion. She likes sweet things and bags.
"One day I'd think I'd like to be a designer, just like Ms. Prussian. I know I could do that now, but I think experience is important in any industry and working as a model will boost my self-esteem. I really love clothes - you can do so much with them and everyone uses them! When I was little I really wanted to be an artist, but not everybody enjoys art, so I think a designer is a better choice." - On her future

Here we are with our first bedroom report! What a report it is too. I'm pleased to announce that we are opening with Portrait In Blue's annual Fashion Fever Show.

Portrait In Blue or Porcia Prussian as the Bedroom world refers to her as, is a very prominet and famous figure. As a Special Edition doll she's a figure of elegance, beauty and wealth. She's quite nice and gets along with everyone else too. Most importantly however, she's very artisticaly talented and being a Barbie, this creativity is focused on the Fashion world. Every year she puts together a show for everyone in the room and we all vote on the flops and beauties of the coming year. Technically, it is Spring, but living indoors most of the time means that seasons don't effect us too much (too much sun gives us Barbies green ear anyway!). Due to this the fashions can range from any season and it all seems logical. However, as with all designers, even brillient Porcia comes up with some really weird outfits.

The event was held on the North Side of the Bed and had sponsering from Coca-Cola (with a giant bottle), C'est Bon Shoes, Knockout Shoes, Stitch Perfumes (with a large box displaying a popular perfume). Any proceeds go to the Whitehouse Art College, whose large background postcard means they helped out.

After we all settled down to watch the show, Porcia announced Set 1 -"Short Prints", named after the number of stripes, spots and flowers on the very short skirts.
The set introduced the three models: Porcia's own daughter Belinda Prussian (sporting a heavy dark tan), former prima ballerina in the Dinning Table Company, Bridgette Summite, and the Bedroom world's own Heidi Klum, Blanche Cartosee. All made stunning entrances and made the clothing look very good indeed.

(a)"Feelin' Free" - A loose, layered silk tank top, trimmed in lace and tight mesh atop a layered skirt with varying pink shaded stripes running vertically. Looked very casual, perfect for a spring barbeque. Interesting expirment with layers and prints, worked out to be my favourite of Set 1.
(b)"Coquettish Schoolgirl" - A two tone sleeved shirt, bottom trimmed with lace. Streachy and body conforming. So conforming that the focus point for the shirt seems unfortunatly to be Blanche's breasts. The bottom half was more benifitting a plaid salmon coloured mini-skirt with a flowing bottom. Very prettily adorned with a small side bow.
(c)"Spot Parade" - Little denim short ala Daisy Duke with very cute pink candy stitching. Love the return of candy sitching in denim. Paired with a large, but top tight fitting jacket-style collared shirt with velvet trimmings. Looked very nice with the light pink tights.

Set 2 "Three Seasons A Year" featured the first of the "different" outfits on display at the show. A Porcia show trait, all the models re-use their shoes, hairdos (not as fun, I think) and rumoured also their underwear. It was slightly more formal (though, ultimatly more provocative...)looking then Set 1, but I prefer the previous set.

(a)"Spring Scents" - A long dress-cut shirt in black featuring a pink floral pattern. Quite cute onn it's own. Had a matching little mesh rosebud on the connection of the top and strap, with flowing ribbon.

The bottom a tight cotten three-quater with a plasticy floral pattern, that according to Belinda actually smell like roses. Scented pants...the pants however do have a nice crocheted trim. Evidently, I do not like this outfit much. I really did not like this outfit on Belinda most of all - it seems much too dark, making the whole ensemble look random. Perhaps, Belinda, known for fashion faux pas put this together herself? Might have looked better on Blanche - everything seems to look gorgeous on that girl.
(b)"Modern Winter Elegance" - I'm not to sure on the "elegance" part, but it is a nice modern piece. Trimmed in black velvet and red and black faux fur. Quite...open. For obvious reasons. Bridgette really seems to lap it up though - her young doll beauty makes the outfit seem quite ok. Just take a look at this shot:

(c)"Summer Nights" - A floaty ensemble that revolves around a slightly v-necked red shirt with darker red velvet spots and crocheted trims, a netted light green tutu with silver spots adorned with purple ribbon (not to mention the large shiny purple flower on the side) and a very large bow in the same vein of the tutu. Pretty...interesting.

Set 3 was a continuence of "Three Seasons A Year", but still no Autumn, unfortunatly. Some wonderful outfits in this batch too.

(a)"Winter Riding" - is named for what we can only help but see as our focal point - the use of a pair of over-sized white riding pants. A new trend or a a dud? Hopefully a dud. Other features of the outfit included a striped pink and red jumper (not a common colour combination, but the light pink and dark red work well together), a fluffy pink ear muffler (but no hood?) and a shiny pink belt:

(b)"Floral Spring Dream" - A soft pink, cropped, light-wool jacket with old-fashioned wooden buttons will keep you warm enough on those early spring days. Slung over a light green halterneck (almost backless - so sexy!) and a pretty flower print flow mini-skirt, makes this one of the biggest hits of Porcia's show. Belinda definatly knows how to show this one off:

Porcia also breaks her simplicity changing rule with a change from Belinda's neon blue platforms into delicate, soft rubber ballet flats in baby pink - giving the whole look a fresh, innocent, spring look. No randomness here!
(c)"Hollywood in Summer" - A dress for clubbing and award shows. Made in streachy, pink polyester this dress sit's low on the shoulder with black striped frill, giving it a unique but attention-seeking look. Yet another bow is found on the side, giving a very cute touch. Not quite sure abou the black velvet beret (it is a summer outfit, what's with velvet in summer?)but very fond of this outfit too.

Set 4 is the expected swimsuit parade. This year it just seemed to lack lustre, pretty average stuff. Most interesting however, is the absence of Belinda, with only two swimsuits on the catwalk. Perhaps she was not needed for this one? Or is their a deeper reason?

(a)"Water Baby" - was a plain one-piece nylon elastane baby blue suit underneath a glittery, hot pink, mesh wrap around giving it a very "cutesy" look. Pretty, but not astounding.
(b)"Hot Pink" - is not actully hot pink at all, but a metallic baby pink halterneck one piece. Very body flattering and shiny - not much else however.

Set 5 - "Long Nights" gave us all a look att the current oufits for the darker hours. Plenty of shine and plenty of glam, definatly a good set.

(a)"Hip To Be A Punk" - Saw a re-emergance of the plaid and the "fashionable punk". The hot pink, pleated plaid had a little chain of strung freshwater pearls and a little rosebud - a very nice melding of "punk" and "prep" trends.

The lycra, black, sleeved shirt continued this with a printed image of a hot pink guiter covered in glitter. The guitar itself was also covered in a small rosebud for extra appeal.
(b)"Night Blossom" - saw a slinky, black mini-dress that curved with the figure. The dress had a print of small, long-stemed daisies but along the shoulders and center a heavy-cotton black and white checkered print ran down. Very glam, yet casual and looked excellent with Bridgette's long pink tight-ed legs. However, must get a bit hot with that heavy cotton lining.
(c)"Shimmer" - certinaly did that with a ribbed, lilac v-neck mini-dress. Had very strappy, silver, wrap-around straps and even included a matching purple bag. Not too sure about how Belinda's platforms go with this - would have been ok if they had been silver, but personally, I would have gone for silver pumps.

Set 6 was the cutomary evening gown and released the much talked about "reverse dress" - two dress in one, depending which side you wear it on and both very different. Lilac but covered in silver glitter and intricate adornments. Very hyped up and very worth it - stunning, absolutly stunning work. Even Porcia, known to be insecure about her designs, seems very pleased with this - could it be the work of her career?

"Fantasy Star Gown, Side 1" - Despite rumours, I was very surprised to see Blanche wear this and not Porcia's own daughter, Belinda, who has been talking up the dress since it's announcement. However, it looks beautiful on Blanche, very fairy queen Titania like.

This side had little stars on the side, pearls and ribbons flowing down the straight but flowing skirt. The back made the ruffling underskirt very obvious (layers of lace~!)and reveled a button corset. Very bottom poofy, very regal. Font was whale ribbed, but didn't appear to give Blanche any discomfort. Gorgeous. The photos just don't do it justice.

"Fantasy Star Gown, Side 2" - Opened up the lilac cover into a little cape that made Blanche look like she had wings - very mystical. The front was open and the bottom raised to a point just below her right knee - clasped with a little silver ring. Lots of ruffles and lace, on the bottom and around the top. No straps this time, but looked very elegant as a boob-tube, a bit old-fashioned too with it's figure curves. More ribbion and some pink lining on the trim.

Set 7 was the "Swan Collection" - inspired by ballet and of course, the famous ballet 'Swan Lake'. Lots of sequins, lace, ruffles and tulle here. The focus of the collection is the "Swan Corset" - corset suit which is paired with three out of the four ensembles in the collection. The "Swan Corset" is covered in handsewn sequins, freshwater pearls and hundreds of glass beads, making it a prize piece. Ribbed and delicate with the bottom cut like "two little swan feathers", it is definatly worth a look (and completely out of my price range!). Who better to wear a ballet centered range then former ballerina-turned model Bridgette Summite?

(a)"The Swan Gown" - Had a bilowing, layered tutu-inspired skirt, underneath the "Swan Corset". In amongst the many layers of lace and tulle, seems to to be a loose, baby pink, satin underskirt, giving it a very innocent look. An elasticated pink ribbon is joined at the back and around th eneck to, I assume, hoist the skirt up further and create a necklace chocker. Interesting.

(b)"Swan Ballerina Ensemble" - takes classic features of a ballerina and makes adjustments for a new style. A very short, tightly layered, tulle tutu (the same style at the gown's, but in traditional tutu style)is used with the "Swan Corset". The head is adorned with a long, underskirt like veil, covering the majority of the hair. Probably my least favourite of the collection.

(c)"Swan Empress" - with the the use of Arabian, billowing loose pants, this piece looks to be more inspired by 'I Dream of Jeanie' then swans. More beads, pearls etc. along the v lining of the pants to match/blend in with the corset. I love the use of the light pink gainst the hot pink.

(d)"Prima Donna" - is the majority favourite of the collection. A long layred tutu dress, with a corset top, divinging up into the skirt with more "swan feathers". Very pretty, especilly with the light mesh veil tucked into Bridgette's high ponytail. A shiny pink chocker finishes it wondefully. Really gives off the impression of dance and flying. Absolutly beautiful.

Thinking in retrospect, the show was both interesting, different and generally featuring beautiful lines. Stripes, flowers and bows seemed to bear on many of the designs, particuarly pink flowers and black side bows:

Belinda Prussian seemed to have disappeared entirely on the catwalk by the apperance of the "Star Fantasy Gown", which is a bit odd to say the least. However, she does make an appearance on the after show photos in a pink, wrap jacket with silver spots, over a rather attention seeking pink tutu.

Perhaps, there is something more going on between Belinda and Porcia? What reasons does Porcia have for not having her own daughter wear her favourite design?

Porcia's Annual Fashion Fever Show Spring 2006 was quite eventful and will have a high influence on what everyone will be wearing this season. A great evening in general, and I had a great time indeed (and a great many Champers too!).
